ok well my chek engine light came on and i had it serviced with a new maf and spark plugs becaus eit was running lean.. and a week later its back can anyone tell me some explanations, or is this just bad quality

you need to find out what the code your ECU is throwing...Go to a local Autozone & they can pull the code for you for free

I agree, see what code is stored in your ECM then proceed from there. Mazda should stand behind their repairs anyway, but at least find out what the code is before you return. Knowledge is power when it comes to repairs.....

Dude be happy they fixed it at all with those mods. Most people got the finger for as much as a CAI much less what you have listed : "custom 3 inch exhaust.. forge b.o.v. future mods are coming soon hopefully"

ok well my cars in shop right now, and hes saying its running lean. they said that last time and i paid 200 something dollars to get a new maf, can theyre be any problems with the o2 sensor from running lean? i asked him for the code and hes calling me back with it so ill keep u guys posted

ok i got the code.. its 171 which is fuel sysem lean (bank one). does any one know what would have to be cleaned or replaced to have this cel go the f*ck away

could be a vacuum leak, dirty fuel filter, bad o2 sensor, etc

my money is on vac/air leak. check those pipes for cracks.

well before i stopped taking my car to the dealership (cause they were ripping me off cause i have no warranty) they said my wastegate was bad and that was along time ago and they said if i go over half throttle ill bnlow my engin, but i took it somwhere else and they confirmed it was the maf and ive been able to go wot for a while. if i replace the wastegate is this the one to get : http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/m...D&Product_Code=ATP-WGT-011B&Category_Code=WGT

so your dealership is telling you it's the wastegate but you took it 'somewhere else' and they 'confirmed' it was the maf, but you're getting the wastegate anyways. you do your thing julio

haha the said it was the whole wastegate assembly, like the internal peice of it. the place i took it to said it was just the actuator that was causeing a vaccum leak. ive replaced the maf and the sparkplugs and i still threw a cel. so i just ordered the acuator part at atpturbo.com wich was like 160 dollars cheaper than from them because they have to order it from mazda. so im fixing it and now im gonna have to part with the speed. had it for 5 months and the problems i had were just ridiculous, the guy who owned it before must have ragged the b**** out

Same thing happened to me man...cept I bet mine is worse...it's got oil sitting on top of the third piston
