Im new and have a simple question

hey guys Im new so please dont flame me. A friend of mine is installing some chip into his 03 mazda 3 from eBay (i think is a scam chip) to make his engine think the air coming in is colder and he has no idea what wire her needs to splice it into. If any of you could please help me out so he will leave me alone I will greatly appreceate it and we can all move on with out lives.

not exactly sure what "chip" you are talking about, but if you are referring to the $20-30 one that "takes 5 minutes to install and boosts horsepower and mileage" it doesnt do a damn thing

yeah a while back i bought sumthin like that for my tbird and when it came in the mail it was a damn resistor that you put into the plug to bypass the coolant temperature sensor or sumthin. I was pissed.

First I would never buy anything from ebay, heard way to many stories and had some problems myself but got my money back but I leaned. Second, I would never buy ANY ebay performance/car parts. People say the ebay intake is ok but I will never take the chance. Always spring to pay the extra buck to get car parts from a reputable site becuase it will probably save you from big problems down the road, and if you have problems they will have a phone number where you can reach them in addition to customer service.
