im buying a forge bpv??questions???

ok so im buying it tonight and im going to be putting it in myself and just want to know what people think of it and if it was difficult anything would be nice :)

The sound is kinda either love it or hate it.
pretty much plug n play, i did notice that it seems like the bolts bottom out in the stock holes in the coldpipe so I put a couple of washers on top of the holes for peace of mind.

yes definately use some washers or trip the bolts other wise your will break them off, they break easy.

your gonna want to fiddle with the springs they give you to get the best feel. i don't remember off the top of my head, but i think the yellow or blue are the springs to use, with or without the shims. basically just unscrew the top and switch em out, go for a drive and decide what feels best to you.

Question. With a BOV do you always hear a sound? For daily driving and low rpm shifts?

only if you hit boost. a BOV/BPV is designed to release the built up pressure in the system by either releasing it back into the intake stream, or out to the atmosphere. so, to get a noise, you need to have enough pressure built to release.

I didn't have any issues with the bolts, and I am using the yellow spring with no shims .. its an easy install.

Thanks, any sites that seem to have the best customer service / reputation to buy from?

*edit* Im from waukesha also, recently moved to Colorado.

Im new to the forum here, its not that I dont trust the users, its that I havent gotten used to how things are bought / sold around here. But I will still take a look, cheers.

i've had another but good experience buying stuff from people off this site. just though i'd throw that out in there.

hmm. never thought of that i've been putting them on top though.

i gotta say this valve works much better than stock. but i dunno, i dont think i care for the sshhting sound.
