2008 Mazdaspeed3 Sunlight Silver
Hey All my name is Kyle and I live in the SOCAL area and I am a newby on the Mazdaspeed forum here. I recently purchased a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 in Sunlight Silver and am in the process of doing some mods. So for those hwo have already talked to me by the wya of PM, I want to say thanks for the help! Others out there, just posting up pics of the new whip and what it is replacing:

Herer is my new 2008 Mazdaspeed 3:

This is what I have sold to pay for the Mazdaspeed. It's a 2005 Nissan 350Z which I have been working on for a while now:

This is my 1991 Widebody Toyota MR2 show car that I used to have before the 350Z. This also took a while to work on and build:

Here is my 1997 Chevy Cavalier Z24 that I worked on the longest:

My old 1995 GS-T eclipse:

And my first car which was a Nissan 300ZX:

Now you've seen some of the stuff I have owned and worked on in the past. I have gone through the RICER FAZE which I'm sure everyone did back in the early 2000's or in high school. But since then i have moved on and hope to make the Mazdaspeed 3 a great and enjoyable car!

Sorry to those I have bugged through PMs. But now if anyone wants to say hey, juts send me a PM! I hope to learn a lot on this site and hopefully find out about meets or get togethers in my area. It's much more fun when you have locals around to hang with or go on cruises or work on cars with those more experienced with the Mazdaspeed!

Thanks again for your time everyone!

Those are some really nice looking cars. Are some lambo doors in order for the ms3? That would probly be a first.

well I'm kind of over the whole lambo door thing. I did not mind them, but my wife HATED them she could never get in right I always had to open and shut the door for her right. They are a cool addition, but this speed3 is probably going to be the car for the baby and groceries!

haha yea, i went through the ricer phase in high school a bit. evidence in my avatar. it was a sweet car tho, brought lots of complements for looking like a daily driver batmobile. and it was cool just to have a car that was completely custom.

like you mentioned, some were a little ricer, but they were some sick cars you've had through the years. im a big fan of widebodies (in most cases) and the MR2 is a really nice example of how good they can look.

welcome!

i'm digging the blue F-250?? at least it looks like a 250. more pics!

haha yeah my neighbor owns a tricking out shop called "Darkside motoring" in Chatsworth and he has pimped out VW, Ford, Chevy, Scion, pretty much everything over the years! That one is a F-250 I believe, it was freakin sick! He now has an even bigger and nicer custom white F250 that he was sponsored and had at SEMS in Las Vegas. He also has one of the sickest 2008 Scion XB out there that was also sponsored for SEMA. It must be nice to get stuff for free and be sponsored!

here are some pics of his other Blue Excursion he used to have:

And here is one of that truck you were talking about, but next to mine at night to show the size comparison. It's obviously much taller! Hard to see since his truck is dark:

Oh yeah and a few people asked about the rims. They are painted not powdercoated but were done professionally at a shop and are nice and glossy so I don't have to even dry them when I wash the car, the water just runs right off!

Hey maybe someone can help, since there were like 3 comments about the rims and I want to reply with 3 comments in the post, HOW do you make just 1 post but reply to multiple people in that post??? If you get what I mean...

Oh yeah and as far as plans for the Speed3, I just want to have some more motor stuff done to it. The damn car just does not keep traction and slips and slides around! Any ideas on how to get that thing to pin down and get more traction? A stereo may be in the works as well, but over the years of listening to 15's and 12's, my ears are a little tired of the loud music. Maybe just something nice in the doors that don't require an amp kit would be nice! I like the stock stereo since it controls a lot of things, so removing it would disable the ipod/aux jack, and you would lose the AC screen and temperature setting portion right?

the button just to the right of the quote button on each post is the multiquote button. click that to highlight it in red for each message you want to quote, then just hit the quote button on any message, and all of the messages you want to quote should show up in the reply box.

alright I will have to try that, hopefully it will work! I see others do it on all the forums I've been on but never knew how to do it myself

quite a list of awesome cars you have under your belt. What are your plans with the MS3? I know you said it was just going to be the family hauler.....but it seems the mod bug bit you a long time ago and I can't help but feel like in 3 years your car's going to be one of the most modified here, lol.

haha I wish! Well there is a possibility of full lip kits, suspension, wheels, and stereo down the line. Problem is that the car is so new they don't have alot for it! Ive been trying to locate a full lip kit for the front rear and sides but havent had any luck. Only found a front lip. You know tho I think it would be SICK if they came out with widebody flared for the mazdasped 3! That would look pretty tight!

We'll have to see, it's up to the wife now, can't spend my life away when I'm trying to save for a house n all. But the 3 definately has potential! They are very nice cars and look great modded from what I have seen!
