IL Clutch/Flywheel Install, where to go?

Soo...I got a great eBay deal on a new Fidanze flywheel and my Spec Stage 2 clutch should be here by next week at the latest.
Anyone know of anywhere around chicago (pref NW) that I can trust to install this correctly?
If so, whats the labor like on something like that?

try any import shop. there is a place i think it's phl motorsports in franklin park. i know a mechanic there

DIY: clutch/flywheel is not a difficult job, just time consuming.

yeah, leave yourself pleanty of time or get someone who knows what they are doing. you can probably find a local place to do it for between $300-450??? and you know that it will be done right......

How many arms did you have to fork over for the dealer to do it?

I might as well have someone else do it as I dont know anyone that is familiar with this type of install and I want it done right. Plus my car isnt going anywhere at the moment since my friend broke off a header bolt on the engine. I've got a leak and almost every local place i've called up wont even touch it....grrr

Because when you use a car as your primary transportation, you can not afford to screw something up and not be able to make it to work or school. There is always a clear line to be drawn, people that are willing to mess with Engine and Tranny and those that aren't.

I'm still tempted to do my clutch/flywheel myself. Just give it time and effort and a free Saturday and it should be good to go....

I wouldnt mind helping with that even. I'm still going to call up a few places on friday to get some pricing on the install. If the dealer quotes $400 then most other places should be loads cheaper.

Your right demonic, if this was not my daily driver the whole damn car would be in a million pieces right now. Blast my love of taking things apart...
