Ignition Voltage Booster to Increase HP/TQ?

5Zigen Pro Racer ECON ignition voltage booster.
Found this article and was wondering if it might work with the CX-9. I'm not a gear head so I don't know what variables are required (unless it is as simple as the amount of power being used up) to see increased performance while maintaining engine stability.

In the end, exhaust and intake modifications still give you the best bang for the bucks.

I would do many things before zapping more electricity into the spark plugs. better cams, exhaust, intake, ecu chip/timing mod, etc. Adding more zap into the electrical system sounds like a recipe for a short life span.
