Idle

does it feel rough? if so clean the EGR and MAF, Replace PCV and your air filter may need inspection as well

is the CEL on? got o autozone and get the code read

No not rough I cleaned the EGR couple months back its good, same with the air filter and no CEL on. Its giving off a vibration that's making a lot of noise. Changed the spark plugs, did a pressure test it's all good. I thought maybe because it was idling so low that it would be causing the vibration. Would it be the IAC by chance ?

damn, thats tricky then lol

how many miles on the car? 2.0 or 1.6? have you clean the iac? ive never done it but im told that you can spray carb cleaner into it and that it helps with bad idle

lol your tellin me. ? 130000 miles. 2.0 L. no I haven't, I gotta find it first (kinda new at this) shouldn't be hard tho. lol I cleaned the EGR with valve grinding compound, people kept telling me I would have to buy a new one cause it will just keep seizing on me, no issues.

Where is that at? Or is that the cone shaped sensor that goes into the air filter box?

yeah, the EGR is a recurring problem we have, ive cleaned mine out at least 5 times and has actually caused a problem once lol

the iac is on the throttle, IIRC it has star allen bolts

Can you show me a picture of the IAC? I'd like to spray mine with carb cleaner.

lol, since i bought the car back in 2003

it could be the iac, i am constantly amazed on how something unrelated or insignificant can have a huge effect on the way an engine runs

also, clean the maf while u are at it.... cant hurt

i'll try to find a pic, or i'll snap once of mine tonite

i hope somebody can post a picture of the ICV. i have been looking for the exact location and if anyone has any tip on the cleaning process or the removal please post.

thanks
