Ideas of next best step?????

If you had the money what step would you take next??

1. Engine Management

2. Bigger Turbo

3. Forged Internals

You really need all three to start make some realy power but i was thinking engine management bc with out proper engine management you really cant do to much..

id say engine management first, forged internals can still die from detonation, theyll just take more before they go. our internals will last awhile if tuned properly.

well, the oliver rods I'm getting can take up to 900hp.... even with detonation it would still take quite a beating, and its not like he is detonating now... neither are people running 10-12 psi. also it gives you the option of dropping the CR to 8.5:1 or so, further decreasing the chance of detonation....

yeah but our ecm isnt really tuned for a lower compression setup, so I dont think it could really be useful until all the fuel and timing issues are properly worked out. Might as well get the most out of the pistons you payed for with the car


plus for me its not so much the detonation thats the problem, but the overall poor running of the engine as a whole, which come from bad tuning on mazdas part.

yeah, but at stock tuning, just add boost via MBC to compensate for the lower CR

the CP pistons and Oliver Rods I'm getting WILL take it. just dont blatently go into detonation causing levels of boost

EM, FI , BT + fuel system , then EM again


you want the em in befor the bigger turbo so you can immediatly tune the engine properly with the turbo install . and you wan the internals befor the turbo so you wont blow up so easy
