ID This part please! Came off bottom

My gf said her car was making some bad noise. She looked underneith and something was hanging and scraping the ground. she tried to pull it off as it was barely on and long story short, this is what it is:

when I asked here where it fell off she was explaining it to be in the middle of the car, lined up with the middle of the front car door. I took a look and its roughly where the cat is, but couldn't see well enough. Exhaust looks fine, and I looked up a diagram of the exhaust. no idea where this came from. Help me and her out!

thats just a heat shield for the j pipe, nothing too major.

yea it shouldnt make a difference. If you look under the car at the j pipe you will be able to see where it bolted too. She should be fine.

lol my car made a bad sound beacuse of that and when my mecanic removed it, he said its there to prevent fire....i was like Wtf

yea mine fell off...like a year ago, idk how, it was barley holding on for dear life and i guess one time i was driving it just flew off. hopefully this was not while i was on the highway...

Just rippppped mine off today ..... If you hear a clanging metal ratling noise it's probably this.
