I was walking through a Mazda Dealership...

And I laid eyes upon the new 2010 Mazda models. I couldn't help but be filled with joy and laughter. The expression of the cars reminded me of happy and funny thoughts. Crazy happy Chinese man thoughts. The Grill was his gaping, cheerful smile. His headlights were his little eyes, squinched from his contracted cheeks. I can't help it but say the newer Mazdas look more like Laughing Japanese men then the great sports cars they really are. DOn't get me wrong. I know these cars must be wonderful machines to drive, but I prefer the Protege5 looks moreso than these new cars.

I didn't like them at first, and I like them even less now.

I also greatly prefer the look of the P5 (or even the Mz3).

I do agree with the happy japanese man comparison haha But I'm not so sure about "great sport cars." Don't get me wrong, I love my Protege, but I hardly call it a sports car lol. Maybe the RX-7/RX-8 and Mazdaspeeds but that's still somewhat-arguable. A sporty sedan is a far cry from sports car.

I dislike the huge circle fog lights on the p5s... Or any circle fog lights for that matter.

protege sedan body is 4tw.

(in my opinion)
Whats your opinions on the sedan body look ? (3rd gen of course)

Looks like it may be impossible to have any kind of low speed, front end collision without crapping out the grill and having to spend $$$ to fix it. Hard to tell for sure from the picture, but the grill seems to occupy the space where the bumper should be. Why design an econobox that "leads with its nose"? Maybe on a Ferrari (cost no object) it makes sense, but not on this sort of vehicle.

Not just the p5 had the circle fogs. Some sedans did as well.

And this thread is about the 2010, mazda lineup. (jacked)

I love the 2008.5 & 2009 Mazda3 & Mazdaspeed3, but the 2010 ... I saw them on the lot and threw up a little

It's such a pity that they didn't keep the 3rd gen style around longer... tweak the P5's front end to narrow style fogs, either way if they still made new cars of the 3rd gen I'd re-buy my car any day. (shrug)

It's 2010 already! Just think the 2011 models are already in mock up! Most of the o-10 models don't do much for me however, I bet they are a hoot to drive.

yea the new ones look like the alien spaceship outta that 80s movie heavy metal... not my cup a tea ... protege all the way
