"Guys as you know by now, a lot of us are experiencing defective fuel pumps causing starting problems. I have one question regarding this. Will this cause the check Engine light to come on? I have brought it to the dealer and they said the fuel pump is gone and not to worrie about it they will order a new one and install it but a week has passed and my check engine light is now commin on. Will a faulty fuel pump casue the check engine light to come on????????????????????????????????????"

I would say if you brought it in and they said it was the fuel pump, they were full of BS. I think they should have checked that out when it was in, unless it was just a quick stop. But if they popped the hood they should be liable anyhow.

If the check engine light is stuck on and there are no apparent problems with the car, disconnect the neg. batt terminal for a few minutes and see if that helps.
