I wanna buy an MS3 GT

Ugh. don't even bring up mounts makes me cringe.

Maybe we should have a Mazda meet at Don Miller so you can all come in with me and scare the sales guy into giving me a break ahaha :D

One tip I was given by my friend that helped me with the financing was to e-mail all the dealers that you are willing to go to. Dealerships see e-mails come in and automatically assume you are shopping around, which you are. Because of this, they will typically reply with a lower price. This is a good way to get a good low "base line" price.

After that, go in there and negotiate. Low ball them on the monthly payment, not the final price. This will often get them to consider giving you the car for invoice, even though you haven't even mentioned it. Also, go in there at the end of the month, because they are trying to get cars out the door.

So there is a tech bulletin about that mount now or something?

BTW I saw my first Speed3 other than the one I own yesterday. Another red one heading west on 94 by the fair grounds at aboot quarter after 5.

I believe so. Head over to the Mazda 3 forum to confirm. But, I believe you should be getting a letter from Mazda about it shortly.

That is one of the worst things you can do at a dealership. Monthly payment shoppers are the easiest to make money off. I used to sell cars and they way they will do it is extend out the loan. Then if they have room they will make the intrest rate higher to make more on the back end.

Always go to a website and do a payment estimator, before you start talking monthly payments. (boom04)

You probably haven't seen me yet. I work 3rd shift :P But it is nice to know that I am not the only speeder around Milwaukee.

I have seen a Red MS3 on Mooreland in New Berlin and then headed down National Ave. Is that any of you guys? :P

You make an excellent point. But, my point was that it makes them consider getting the price down close to invoice.

But, never the less, you never want to agree to an outrageously long loan, like USAFdude02 said.

If they come back with something crazy, negotiate the terms along with the payment.

I thought they had a touchless car wash. I get my car washed at Poor Richards on Hwy 100 and Oklahoma. They are one of the best places that I have found to get the car washed.

I don't like the Blue Coral ones because they do the rain-x thing and that leaves the car with streaks. It looks horrible. (omg)

When I peaked into their car wash, it definitely didn't look touchless to me. My salesman keeps asking me why I don't bring the car in for a wash. (sssh)

I'll have to try the one at Poor Richards. I use the touchless one at the Mobil on Forest Home and 68th street, it's pretty close to my house. It works pretty well.

It might have been me. I am over there from time to time to hang out with some of my friends.

Oh ok....I was wondering if maybe it was someone that was on here! :P Wave next time you see the Black Mica Speed 3 up there! (inout)

I just read through this whole thread. I did not even know there were regional threads until I was looking at the Illinois meet coming up. I have mainly posted in MS3 forums. Just my 2 cents, but I would not recommend Russ Darrow. I waited until a dealer had a MS3 to test drive, which I did in November 2006. This was at Russ Darrow. I dealt with Andy O-Harrow there as well. He is a nice guy, but they wanted $3000 over MSRP and would not budge. I walked and sent out an e-mail on MazdaUSA.com and was contacted same day by Chad at Hall Mazda. Great guy, ordered my Sport True Red MS3 next day for MSRP which I was happy with as it was very difficult back then to find any available, espeically without all the add-ons I did not want. He has since helped me whenever I needed it as well.

I think that was me. I work on Moorland and Howard.

I went into Don Miller and basically...

as soon as I sell my car-- I'm getting the Cosmic Blue 08 GT

So you're going to buy a car from a dealer you hate? Seriously, Hall Mazda is not that far from Madison, and once you have it, maybe Don Miller will not be bad to get it serviced at. Attitude of service guys does not usually reflect upon salesmen and vice/versa. But why buy from some pricks that do not seem to respect you?

I concur! I've yet to have a good experience with Don Miller sales staff, both in finding myself a Mazda and more recently, my friend looking for a P5. I'd go elsewhere as well. But I'm not one to judge, if you're personally satisfied with the service, pricing, etc, go for it!

I just want the car...

The sales guy I've been working with seems to be pretty nice so far.

I don't really bring my car for service to DM anyways... Unless it's warranty related.

So, I'd pretty much be buying it an leaving.. but... Maybe I will check out Hall... they're the ones in Brookfield, right?

Yup.

I emailed a bunch of different MS dealers regionally...

I guess we'll see what they say...

I had to call dude at Don Miller- I forgot the price he gave me lookin at all these numbers today, lol

Most of them will probably just send you a stock letter saying, "Thank you for your interest in....blah, blah, call us if you need any more information." They will never give you a price quote via e-mail. This was extemely frustrating for my wife who actually clicked on "give me price quote" when she was looking at a Mazda 6, and all she got back were these bulls*** stock letters. I had a little better luck with the Speed 3 where 2 salesmen/women actually called me to ask what I was looking for. If you go to Hall, ask for Chad Nelson. Like I said, great salesmen. And no, I do not work for them, I just think someone that goes out of their way for you should get referrals for their work. He's not going to bs you or anything like that.

I got a few BS emails-- which I will not even bother to respond to.

If I can't get someone to genuinely write me an email to find out what I want-- not worth my time.

Hall enailed back saying "The car you priced out is a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3, is that correct? If so, the car you priced on line is $22935 and sells for $21887 !! There are 2007's that may work for you and save some money?"

If that's so... then jesus christ. SOLD!

Another one that I truly enjoyed was Russ Darrow saying "they would love to steal a deal from DM" haha I like that guy already.
