I think I need to stop driving the Speed 3

correct.. no gas shortage, but it doesnt cost an arm and leg for premium..

Exactly. I try to drive nicely...but hard in that car. Yeah my bank account is feeling the $3.27 a gallon right now.

(wow) (protest) im feeling you!

Buy a daily driver. You'll save money on gas, and appreciate the MS3 so much more when you take it out to have some fun.

Trying to do that. Will be some time before that happens. But then why have the speed 3? Love turning heads

See this is my plan...I already have my big peice of crap sitting out in the drive way that cost me a whole 750.00. So thats what I plan to drive while not in the speed3. So my only question now is whether I should sell the daily driver now or when I get my Speed3 cause I know Ill just drive the speed3 all the time. All I gotta say is that plans are meant to be broken.

Well, I know I am very stoked to have a reliable daily driver. I hate parking the Honda in crowded parking lots, leaving it out in the open for long periods of time, and having the constant risk of acquiring tickets (Let's put it this way. The S in S2000 does not stand for Subtlety).

With the Subaru, it's nice because I'm not tempted to fly around every on-ramp, give it a little oversteer around empty corners, and floor it to 9k RPM's when no one is looking.

theres no reason to garage a speed3 much less any other speed...

Yeah don't get me wrong I want a daily driver to cheapen the gas price for me...but I guess i would not have gotten a Speed3 to let it sit in the garage 5 days a week. :) You know? so I guess I am losing 6 MPG over a daily driver. Oh well. I just need to learn to not push the gas so much.

My MS3 is my daily driver............ My other 2.3 is the "race car".

I do notice though my wife can get 21-23 mpg city, while i usually get 17ish..... good thing i'm only home 2 weeks a month to drive my MS3.

Unless you buy it to highly modify it and for track use, I'm not sure who buys a 5 door hatchback like this as a fun weekend car that sits in the garage most of the time. This car is supposed to be driven daily and often. Cars like the S2000, 350Z, Vette, Miata, ect ect are meant to be weekend fair weather cars. This baby is meant to put tons of miles on, and have fun while doing it. That's how I looked at my STI, and that's exactly how I look at my Speed 6. I wouldn't bother buying or driving a cheap beater car if the Speed 3 or 6 was my only car. Can't imagine one of those that way. They are high performance daily drivers/beaters. If you insist on always driving the snot out of it, then just pony up the cashish. ;)

True true. I don't mean I mash the gas every time. Only when getting on the freeway and such. And that is not all that often. I know when we get a CAI or a BOV my constant need to hear the car or the BOV will be there even more. It was like that on our WRX and EVO. :) I used to have an S2000 and it was our daily driver and got about the same gas mileage....so what is the difference. I just love fast loud cars.

Cause I am using up the gas way too quick with my constant want to feel the turbo. :)

Personally.. I LOVE the fuel economy on the Speed3. Previously I had a '96 Taurus SHO (3.4L 32Valve Aluminum Yamaha V8). I havnt come up with the actual MPG (L/100km) numbers yet, but the rough calculations are showing a 35% decrease in fuel consumption. (and at 120km/h the SHO ran about 500rpm lower then the speed3 does...)

I was at Georgetown last night, and their gas price was $3.85. >_< When I saw the title, I thought you just got a speeding ticket or something. lol~

Me, too. I use the cruise control whenever I can on the interstate. Just 10 more months until all of the tickets get dropped from the records! ^_^V
