2003 Mazda Protege 5
so here I am, I've had my 2003 P5 almost 2 years, and I'm getting bored. Its completely stock.
I just graduated, got a real job now, and want to spice it up? any suggestions please?
I know theres mod-threads, but I'm a new teacher, and have no time to sit and search. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks!

lower it and throw some black wheels on it. That would be the first thing Id do. Then after that Id do a injen CAI and slap a Greddy Evo2 Catback on it with some sort of Midpipe. And you would be golden. My 2cent though. Is the car a auto or manual and what color is it?

car details

thanks for the ideas!
My car is a 2003 P5, sunlight silver, Sport AT. Having an automatic stinks, but at 6'6" I couldn't shift a 5 speed without my knees hitting the wheel. being able to shift a automatic was the closest I could get!
The mods you suggested, where's the best place to purchase parts? Online? I live in Lethbridge, so I don't know if theres anything good here.
I like the ideas of the conversions, but I'm not sold on black wheels. Don't mind the gun-metal though.
All your input is appreciated, thanks again!

get some suspension mods xD like a rear swaybar, lower it, get new struts, etc. this car wasnt made for speed but the handling will really get ya. already it handles like its on rails but wit those mods, it will make u love ur car from what i hear hehe. i'm gonna get a rearsway bar soon xD

There are a couple of things you can do to spice it up.

Get the eibachs, this will give you a new type of ride. If you like it, then get swaybars, and so on.
HID projectors, you will love it, problem is, its a custom job.
Replace Radio with a Carputer and LCD, awesome features (music, video, gps, games, handsfree celphone, obdII monitor, etc).
Change the bulbs inside with xenons or colored.
Upgrade Sound System

Im happy with all that above. And of course turbo, but I think that becomes more a headache because it requires a lot more care. Probably an Intake can do the job well for a small power pickup an feel.

local crew?

hey Brandon,
I get what you're saying, but not where your saying. I live in Lethbridge AB, and from I see, the only people driving p5's done here are bed-shitters. haha, seriously though, I don't even know where I would start down here. Although, I make frequent trips up to Calgary. I was gonna head to Mazda in the mountains last summer but ended up out of town.

Intake & exhaust

I have a high flow cat for sale if you want it.

Magnaflow high flow - never used, brand new still in box. 150bux shipped. Let me know.
