I need Some TIRES!

Ok , well one of my tires apparently went nearly bald from not having my car alighned, or maybe it was never aligned when i asked them to check it, but either way, it needs some new shoes. Should i just replace the one that is messed up and have it alighned, or should i just get a brand new set. the tread on the rest are decent, but if anything hapopens to the any other of the dunlops, it will almost break my bank every time.... please vote which way you think i should go. and leave a message why you think so.

Why not go find some good used tires? I am sure there are some shops that have used tires and then you could get two matching tires or at least just get one to replace the ald one until you need 4 new tires.

well, i have found out some good news...
my step dad decided that he would pay for me a new set of yokohamas so i suppose ill just take up that offer. and used tires?!? no way man not for anything less than a temporary. my life is on my tires and the way things are in alabama, its nearly impossible to find a 205/45 new much less used

I personally say go for the ES100's. I just bought a set 3 days ago, and let me tell you, this car feels like it is rails now. Given, it might have felt like that before, but I just got the car in January and the Dunlops were still on there. They were pretty warn down and by the time I changed them, I was down to 2/32nds of an inch, which is legally bald. So yeah, I love the ES100's, I got them for $110 a piece at Discount Tire, thats compared to the $253 a piece I was quoted for the Bridgestone Potenza S0-3 Pole Positions. The difference in prices was not worth it at all.

I heard Yokohama's are pretty good, so are the Kumhos believe or not. From what I've read on this forum, seems the Dunlops are not that good. But I hope you learned your lesson like I did - ALIGN and ROTATE! to get maximum life out of your tires at minimum every 6,000 miles.

Another benefit is that doing so will even out the wear on all 4 so that when you need a new set, you can get the latest technology of your choice on all 4 corners.

I've got lifetime alignment on both my cars (Firestone/Bridgestone service centers still offer it) and I use the $5 coupons for rotation with oil change every 3,000 miles. Definitely worth it.

I voted Yokohama AVS ES100's. This is from personal experience. I love mine, and they're quiet! Fairly cheap, and they stick like glue.

Parada's are not going to be quiet, period.
