When i was living at home one of my dogs chose to make the hood of my car a good place to sleep once or twice so i have these nasty scraches in my paint I hope they are not to deep. and they are on my hood so everyone sees them. I would like to buff them out but i am not sure of the proper compounds and things that i would need can anyone help me with this?

well i am not saying i am totally unable to do the work, i just wanted some suggestions does anyone else have any positive comments they could help me with

from what i hear from other people about fixing scraches, the only way to remove them is to get the hood repainted. cus those scrace removers will only fill in the lines but in time it will fad. just like wax. and you'll have to re buff it. I have the same issue with rock chips. i'm just going to buy a CF hood. maybe go to a body shop and ask them,
and go from there.

Well i had somewhat good success with this, of course like sharki said it fades away back to scratchs. For now i will just keep waxing it, I would rather do that than look at those scratchs. I hurt when my baby hurts.
