i need a how to: boost gauge install please

thanks before hand i really need a how to on this im trying to do everything my self so it would be really helpful if i get this!!

I agree, there should be a How To on this. I'm gonna try to install my boost gauge on my own, and would really like to know how to do it properly, before I **** up. Thanks. And good luck Secto1

You connect the line to the manifold (use a T for the line you pulled off). You then run the line through the firewall and up into the cab of the car and place it where you want. Then you run the line through the pod or whatever is holding the gauge and connect it to the back of the gauge.

Hook up ground and power for the light.

Done...... There's your how-to.

There's not a way to mess it up unless you don't tighten the fittings. All that will cause is a vaccume leak.

I just did... The post before yours.

You connect it to the manifold. You need to T off of one of the exsisting lines that connect to the manifold. The one I always use when hooking up a boost gauge to my MSP (don't have one installed perminatley yet) is on the back, and on top. There's a metal clip holding the line to the nipple on the manifold.

whats anal about that? if he wants someone to put in effort to explain something to him, he should put in some effort to see if it has been done before (and this topic comes up semi-frequently). it's only fair. i did a 2 minute search and found all the info plus some that was needed. i would expect anyone can do the same.

You have a valid point. But every time I'm on the site, all I see is someone bitching because "this shouldn't be in this section," or "this isn't a MSP topic," or "just do a search dumbass." I call that anal. For the most part, no one is ever wanting to help the other person out. No big deal, I was just pointing that out.

If people don't use common sence or post in the correct forum or post the same thing over and over again this board will be a mess. It just takes a little bit of personal thinking to make this place run smooth.

thats why i posted a link helping too rather than just saying search since it only took 2 minutes to find. it just gets old seeing the same thing over and over again. just think about it from the point of view of people who are on here all the time, not just from the occasional viewer point of view and you can see why people get upset when they see the same question they've answered 10 times already being asked again when they know anyone can find it in 2 minutes.

Every other forum I've ever been a member of had it's share of what you are complaining about. I'm just saying that people are noticeably more rude about it here than any of the other sites. And you would think that Lexus owners would be more dicks about anything. lol But I can't find another forum for MSP's where I can relate with everyone else's MSP falling apart, so I'll just deal with it. Sorry, just had to get it out. Later fellas.
