i might get a 6...

I might get a mazda 6 V6 GFX Package (canada ontario)
I just want to know some pros and cons of it, i current drive a 91 protege lx. I read the forum and i see quite a few call backs and things like that. Any input will be helpful, thanx!!

I like my 6, fun to drive and comfortable for daily. Also, V6 has less potential in modding, so if you're into modding, think twice before hand. :)

In regard of problems, I don't have any problems with my 6 yet besides the cold start hesitation in first gear, but that doesn't really bother me alot. (just warm up the car before driving).

the thing is im gonna end up getting an auto probably.. cause other family members needs to drive it... they are too lazy to learn gay...

im just wondering (this is for other members of the forum) how are the call backs on the 6.

btw: how long do u let ur car warm up for be4 driving?

ty!

I warm it up for about 4-5 mins before driving, but I still get slightly of hesitation (it would be worst w/o warming up). Though, I don't think you'll have that problem with an auto, I haven't yet heard anything about auto having hesitation especially on V6. When I was shopping for mine, the 6 I test drove was a V6 auto(sport shift) and I have to say I love it. Almost from inside out (it has sport package outside), and it's GREAT for daily driving IMO.

This is another thread you can take a look.. :)http://www.mazda6club.com/forums/read.php?TID=16234

do they have the hatch ones available yet?

not the wagon, the ones with the rear window attached to the trunk.

plus i think the 6 cly standard would be the way to go, depending on how much u have to spend. either way good luck with your discision, and plow ******- its good and good for you!

for warming it up just wait for it to drop idle and gently drive it...you burn gas letting it sit for 10 mins unless it's really cold. Then i'd understand cause you almost get frostbite from the leather steeringwheel and I shead a tear for those who got the leather seats. After like 2 blocks the car should reach normal operating temp and you should be fine unles you are beating on it before then. every car I drove to include the auto has that slight hesatation on first start...I had a automatic neon and that was far worse than the 6. Might be off topic but how well did the grounding the throtle body do to responce on the I4?
All I have to say is test drive before you make a finnal decision.
