Hey orangezoom,

That system looks great. Do you have a picture of the car directly from the back? I want to see if the muffler pan can be seen.

How much louder (in volume) is this system than stock?

Does the exhaust note get louder as you go up in rpm or does it get quieter?

What did you do with your second O2 sensor? By the pics it looks like it has not been installed.

Damn that looks good, (good meaning not like a rice can ;). How's the power??? Full turbo back right? Does the dealer have a website?

does anyone know where to something that will turn off the engine light from when I got my exhaust?

Dude, you really need to proofread before you post. (thought)

F.Y.I

I just got off the phone with Magnus, they will no longer be carring the exhaust system for the MSP. I spoke to two people (Shawn and Stevie).

They said there was more complaints than there was demand.

I wonder why. Other people have voiced the opinion that their product and more importantly their service sucks.

But to address the issue of demand, I'm afraid that this will come to be a problem with MSPs and getting parts for them. Since Mazda is discontinuing the Protege line there will be no more MSPs and therefore a very small market for parts. Sucks for us.:(

Let me correct one thing here. One person on the board ruined it, not for Magnus but just themself and everyone else. One person that had no clue how to install an exhaust. One person that could not admit their wrong. One person that finally took the exhaust to a shop to have it installed and worked out fine.
Just ask orangezoom of the product received from Magnus and the install process.
Myself - I have the turbo-back from Magnus and have had zero complaints about the quality, installation and best of all - people who had heard the exhaust think it sounds great.
It is just too bad and late for others to share now.
The clincher is -The people at Magnus Motorsports know how to build high horsepower and want now nothing to do with the Mazdaspeed for the obvious reason that its wood.
For me, and I suppose Magnus, wish everyone good luck with their search for a BBD.

I highly doubt that my thread about magnus was the only thing that lead to them pulling their exhaust.

Had no clue how to install an exhaust, and admit their wrong... OK:rolleyes: Marco (owner) even admited that the pipe after the cat was not right. I sent them pics. He told me to have an exhaust shop look at it and I did. After which, they would pay for the work.

I did not just take it to a shop and presto, everything was fine. I took it to 3 seperate exhaust shops and they all said it was not right. I paid over 200 bucks for the work to get that thing to stop knocking around. They basically changed the entire s shaped pipe to make it fit the car. I then contacted magnus and recieved no reply to several messages I left for reimbursement that I was promised.

I posted nothing but the truth, and about my experience with a (IMO) bad company.

Just because your exhaust fit, does not mean that mine was not defective. If what I got fit so good, then why did they change so much on this system that is shown here? Aside from the muffler, it looks nothing like the one I recieved.

I am simply stating that you were the only one who had 'installation' problems.
Myself and all others have had no concern.

XSIVSPD-

Did you do your install? It is not in any way hard at all. The piece that I had problems with can not be adjusted. There is absolutely no way to mess that up. The s-pipe bolts directly to the muffler section, and that is it. The bend did not line up with the well in the heatshield, and did not clear where it bends up and then over, just after the muffler.

So as for your comments about me and my abilities to bolt some pipes together(fu). I put the iON FMIC in my car by myself and with a limited supply of tools, which was much more complicated than putting an exhaust on. Not to mention that I had 4 knowledgeable people helping and a full garage for that exhaust.

So you think that there is no such thing as a manufacturers defect? I never said that all magnus exhaust systems were bad. Clearly others had installed it before I ordered it, you being the first that I knew of.

Magnus made a mistake while making that piece. It is not hard to imagine, with how many universal pieces they welded together for that one section. It is also not unforgiveable that they made a defective piece. It was the way that they handled their defect that pissed me off. When I first called and asked for a replacement, they told me that it would be pointless because they were not going to change anything, and it would fit the same. Oh, I could trade for store credit though, yay . Now I see that they have revised the setup and it makes me more pissed. If they had just sent me 1 replacement piece, I would have retracted all my posts about them.

And this comment of yours just demonstrates to all, your lack of maturity.
I will not stoop to your base value.

Quit being a moron.

Your story was shens & you got called on it, nothing more to it.

Of COURSE he's pissed, you gave him a typical straw-man move and got busted. Now, rather than deal with how you misrepresented the story you're trying to take some kind of moral high road. As a 3rd party reading this thread, his response is reasonable and makes your post look misleading, while you are too busy talking about "base values" to make an adequate reply.

It is a shame that Magnus is not going to do anything for the MSP because this exhaust is great I would purchase again from them anytime. He makes quality stuff.
Someone asked for pics from the rear

I think you stooped way below mine when you came on here accusing me of not knowing how to install an exhaust, when the maker of it himself admited that something was wrong.

You didn't even install your own exhaust, it was done for you. And one of the people (who ATTEMPTED to help me) had installed near 100 exhausts before mine. And like I said, the part that did not fit was not adjustable, it was fixed in place by the muffler hangers and the bolts on the flange.

Don't try to tell me to live up to my mistake, since you seem so tight with marco or whoever over at magnus why don't you tell them to send me my money. 200$ is generous on my part. Or at least reply to my email and phone messages.

Why don't you get the facts straight next time you are going to comment about someone elses affairs.
