I just got a new car

I just got a Jetta GLI (the one with the 18 inch BBS wheels, bodykit, etc.) yesterday. All I want to say to everyone thanks for all the advice and help that I received. You guys are the best, always willing to help. I wish all you guys good luck with your life and and especially your cars. I will post pics when I have a chance.

Thanks guys. As for the color of the car I say it looks like titanium but vw says its platinum. I got this color because I fell in love with the msp titanium and that is actually the car that I was looking for at first but never found one. My intentions were to buy a GTI and I ended up with a Jetta, which was only 2k more than the GTI.

The price of the car was 24,600. I tried to get them to lower it so what they did was give me more for the trade in. Good luck man.

No I really dont want to void the warranty, that was one of the main reasons that I got a new car. I will actually go back to the dealership and talk to the service department to see what kind of things can I do to the car without voiding the warranty. The car already looks great and is fast. I havent hit full throtle yet because I'm still breaking it in but I love the sound of the motor.

I DEFINITELY recommend the APR chip. They have all kinds of options like valet mode, race gas mode, etc & I'm sure the warranty wouldn't be a big deal. VWvortex is THE biggest car enthusiast site around & like I said, there are tons of guys in Orlando who can probably answer any ? you'd ever have.

The chip voids your warranty faster than crap. VW is VERY anal about warranty issues. I believe in the newer ones they're going to make a little cage around the ECU...

Christ, I really want to buy this car too. Ugh, I'm in the process of moving and don't have much time to put my MP3 up for sale. I gotta put some new front brake pads in, and then I guess I'll see what I can do.

Can anybody recommend some good car sale sites? I know of autotrader.com, I suppose. I'll have to try my newspaper as well.

I think you if played it cool w/the dealer (and w/a little luck), you should be ok w/bolt-ons...even a chip - I was lucky at my VW dealer, and I'm lucky now w/Mazda - they don't sweat me at all regarding mods.

But hey, enjoy it as is for a while...they are nice out of the box (especially the GLI).
