i installed a turbo x's DP on another members MS3 last night

I just got rid of the cats about 1000 k ago. I've been monitering my oil levels, consumption has not been crazy. The oil smell only comes after the car has been in boost than sits and idles for a bit. It has been very cold here as well.
So did Mazda tell you the small amount of smoke is ok; were your seals deemed to be fine?
I wonder if my car always was doing this with the cats masking it.

That's unburnt fuel, not oil.

LOL that's why, you took both your cats away that burnt off any extra fuel that wasn't being used. Now that there's nothing to burn it off with you'll without a doubt get a fuel smell, especially in this car since it runs pig rich. As for the white smoke, it's normal. Condensation builds up in the downpipe when you have the car off and when you turn it on the exhaust heats up causing the white smoke (steam). As you drive for a little while and the car heats up you should be okay. As for the lack of cat there's noway of getting around that fuel smell. I even have the high flow cat on mine and get a very strong smell of fumes when I get on it, so I could only imagine how bad you're getting it. Friend of mine has a totally built 13:1 compression B16 tuned out the ass with no cats and it smells and blows white smoke too (retarded fast too). I wouldn't lose sleep over it because it sounds normal. Unless you're losing oil somehow there's nothing wrong.

As for the seals, unless you're getting blue tinted smoke then the turbos fine which goes hand and hand with your oil levels dropping.

I would think that it would exit all the way out the rear so you would only smell it in your garage or something not at a light or outside since it would dissipate.

I was going to replace mine but really don't want to have the car smell like gas all the time since it's my DD

That's true but since it's winter season the cold wind blows the smoke. During the springtime / summertime I haven't had any issues, just when it's cold out.

No dude, of course the exhast smells with no cats lol. After it idles for a minute or two you can smell burning oil coming from the exhaust.

Ahh gotcha well without a doubt sounds like a turbo seal leaking into the downpipe.

So did you say yours did the same thing? What did the dealer say about your seals when they checked them?

Everything turned out to be fine. They couldn't find any leaks. My main concern was the white smoke and then after a while you get use to it and seems to make sense with the condensation build up ect. Like I said before, the dealership is real cool about my mods he actually said as long as you don't chip it and blow it up I'll warranty it.
