I changed the suspension on my p5 around 3 months ago to tokico hp and eibach prokits. two days ago i started to hear clicking on the front driver's side. i only hear it when i hit bumps...even little ones. what is this clicking coming from?

Driver's side front, you said it yourself.

Check the bolts on the strut top and the swaybar endlink bolts.

i checked all the bolts and i still have the clunking. to me it sounds like the front swaybar but i dont know what could be wrong.....does anyone have any ideas?

Not just the tightness of the Bolts, but see if there's play between the nut and the Bowl looking washer ....if so, just throw a couple washers between them

i checked the bowl shaped washer an it doesnt seem like its moving...the clicking sound like its coming from a loose bolt but all the bolts are tight

brian i dont think thats the sane problem because i dont have that piece that your teins have since i have prokits and hp......anyone else have any ideas

I have this same problem too, but i have stock suspension parts. It's like a clicking noise, sounds like metal on metal to me. I wish i could get rid of it cause it's the only thing that bugs me on my car

I think i have the same click comming from the driver's side rear. It happens whenever i hit the breaks and it sounds more like a "ting" sound. It's definately not a loud "clunk". I've noticed that it is dampered if I touch the metal shroud thing behind the rotor...so it maybe coming from the break pads or something. I feel your pain because it's really annoying. Oh yea, I have racing beat springs and Tokico HP's too.

i have this same problem, im gonna redo the front left strut, and retighten it down harder on everything and see if that fixes it.

foxpro-

it could still be the strut top unless you installeled a washer between the top nut and the mount. i had a ting sound coming from both my rear struts when i switched over to the MSP bits; sounded like a smalll piece of wire or metal tapping against something else.

i solved it by: installing the metal caps that cover the dust boots on the OE struts (the butt up against the bottom of the strut mount), installing a metal washer and a neoprene washer between the center top nut and the big rectangular-ish washer above the mount.

i think the noise (if it's the same one) comes from the rubber bushing in the mount moving up and down. no matter how tight you make the top nut, it still moves until you add the cap and the washer.

i have a problem like this but its more like a knocking sound. and it usually occurs if i turn the wheels as far as they can go. or like when i'm pulling in my garage. i have a curb up to my drive way and when i go up the curb i hear the knocking sound. maybe the suspension is just worn? any suggestions?

Same problem... I am turning and hit a bump or something... and I hear a klunk coming from the driver's side in the front. I've been thinking.. maybe stock endlinks busted.. been meaning to switch to AWRs to see if it may fix the problem. I hope it isn't anything bad.

I had a lot of different noises from my setup, So I added two washers in the rear and then took all my springs off and sprayed them with rubberized undercoating and sound deadener. then reinstalled them and all is quiet for the most part except a little sqeaking froma tight suspension.

also my friend has the HP's with eibachs and he had to replace his front swaybar bushings...

he would make a turn or something and get this nasty sound and it ended up being his swaybar bushings in the front
