there are a lot of little things u have to have to do this swap. the motor mount brackets are different the six pin fuel injection harness (dohc) versus the 4pin form the sohc. an ecm w/an added wire for the VICS solenoid, slave cylinder for the manual and the flywheel the trans mount bracket that bolts to the transaxle. a carrier bearing and axle for the passenger side. a good set of dohc wires(NGK) 60.00bucks on corksport and NGK plugs for a 1.8 miata.
plans for the future is tbuild a turbo motor from scratch andand a rebuilt manual trans w/reinforced gears and a quaffe differentialand mosst possibly the protege gtx all wheel drive system.
mods that i have now are a pacesetter adjustable short throw, bronzoil bushings, intake, 15" rota slipstreams w/ 205 50 15 kumho ecsta supras, a dx cluster w/tach, 93' lx front seats, greddy shift knob

the car is about as fast as an lx, i found a motor for about 480$ us.
and i also have a strut tower braceand the soon addition of 2 1/2 exhaust
the clutch form mazda is the best value at 150.00 and so are the gaskets and sealsthe brackets are about 22.00 each or so get the slave cylinder from napa or a junk yard and get the flywheel from the junkyard and a pilot bearing from any auto parts store and go ahead and do the fuel filter while the motor is out it will save ya sucha headache.




is there anyone in the dallas fort worth area? there is a meet at target on hebron and 35 in lewisville and we need mor 1st gens to show up. the meet is on weds nights everyweek starts around 9-9:30 all night
