theres one way to test it..... find a junkyard or a friend who has a car that doesn't matter and pour hot water on the windshield when its really cold. in fact i might be able to arrange it.

when i was really young (8th grade) in MD, i always had to scrape off the ice/snow (at around -15) from my uncle's 4runner's windshield before he dropped me off to school. there were several occasions (3-4 times) where i used hot water from the bathroom faucet to melt the ice.

uncle saw me one morning and yelled at me for the longest time. oops. good thing it never cracked. WHEW. (thumb)
