i gave you chance & u blew it!!!!!!

I am pretty sure they will total your car. Glad to hear your wife and the future baby are ok. what year is the car and how many miles? Figure the airbags are $2k, bumper and 2 fenders are a grand. you will need radiator support, frame straightening, lights...

I think he bought it like that. It used to be the oakley car.

Hey, glad to here that your wife and kid are ok. Sorry the site didnt help with the sale, I thought it might when I told you about it (I was the skinny guy at the varsity meet like 2 or 3 months ago when you were there). It will probably help with the sale of the parts though if its totaled.

I'm glad your wife & child made it out alright...

[helpful yet shameless plug]
If you need any help ripping those brakes off, send a pm asap.
I'll buy em from you this weekend if you'll let em go

kool deal thanks

if it gets totaled you might not be able to keep the parts, better check on that before you start taking money from people.

Will you attempt to part out anything from the car that you can salvage? If so, I would like the rear cf valence if available. Please don't hesitate to PM me if you would be at all interested. Thanks!

and please give me some Idea's on how to make shure my insurance company dos'nt wanna fix it ,,and does it look like a total to you??

Yeah, that's a smart thing to post on the interenet. Cause the insurance company never logs on to the interntet... ????

My little oopsie wasn't that bad & it was 8k to fix without being turbo or having airbags go off so I'm pretty sure they'll total yours. Glad the important stuff is OK, the wife & kid that is. Catch ya in the FS section if that happens........Sorry for both things, dumbass other driver & situation dictating replacing the car to begin with. I have a truck that has survived all this & more for last 25 years of my life so I feel your torn emotions with this. Good luck with it all.

Kinda what I was thinking 2.........about posting things the insurance people shouldn't know.

I didn't read through all the posts, so sorry if I say something stupid. It's good to hear your wife and baby are ok. That is the most important thing.
Not sure if they're going to total it or not. Check out the pics on my home page (#5) of my accident. No air bags deployed, no radiator damage, no frame damage, but hit both ends and it cost over $5100 to fix. So it's going to be close.

They won't total that. You're turbo etc is not insured unless you had an appraisal done with all tht stuff on the car, so before all your aftermarket stuff, there is maybe $6K in damage. That's not a total. Stop scamming the insurance company. If you hate your car so much, sell the ******* thing!

I know that just about 8 times out of 10 here in Arizona when the airbags deploy they total the car because it is cheaper than replacing the entire steering wheel and the one on the passenger side of the dash.

Glad everyone is ok.

Like Maxx Mazda said though, I hope all those mods were appraised. My wife used to work for an insurance company and she used to take calls from kids screaming about how much their custom paint job or this or that cost, but if it wasn't documented with the insurance company the weren't covering it...or on a brighter note maybe your insurance guy will be cool and do it for you.

My aftermarket exhaust was on my car, got smushed, and was replaced without any documentation before hand on it's value. I had only had it on the car for 5 days before it was hit, so I didn't have a chance to let the ins. co. know. The body shop that did the work asked me where I got it, and I referred them to the Racing Beat site. They bought it and slapped it on the car along with all the other work with no additional cost to me. So it depends on you appraiser and/or shop as to whether it'll get covered.

Mike in Altanta,
Mike if you love your P5, why hate on it? Here is my reasoning, it was orignally designed as a family car. With the stock suspension and my 205/50R16 Traction T/A tires it rides pretty smooth. If the problem was the ride quality, that is fixable. Get a Tein suspension and get the EDFC. Modify the hood to allow to clear and get some wheels/tires that allow a higher side wall. Setting the Tein's to the softest setting would allow a VERY comfortable ride. When you do not have the family onboard and want to handle like there is no tommorrow, simply hit the preset for sport settings. Just an idea if they do not total it and keep the car.
