you can order the oil filter wrench from mazda. its like $15-.

the protege5 uses a mazda filter so if thats whats in your car it is correct.

also, if you dont trust them just wander on back when they start working on your car and introduce yourself to the mechanic and shoot some bulls*** with him/her. they should do a better job if your cool with them and standing there watching =D

I only took it to them the first time, because they gave me a free oil change certificate. I've now switched to synthetic and Pure One filters, so I'll be doing my own from now on. I'm glad that they did use a Mazda filter, though. That does make me feel a little better about things.
