If I am correct a warrenty and a TSB are two diffrent things. TSB should be corrected no matter what. However, juding by your sig you have a short shifter. They will probably blame your shifter for it :(. Good luck either way though!

This may be a very dumb question. What is a TSB? Technical Service Bulletin? And are they supposed to fix these regardless? And if so, what is the difference between a TSB and a recall?

A recall is something that the dealer HAS to perform on the car, usually a safety issue. TSB's (Tech Service Bulletins like you guessed) are just that, bulletins, they don't HAVE to perform this service to your car but you can bring it to their attention. In my case it didn't work for jack, but then again, I don't have a penis either so maybe my hubby would have gotten better results. No offense to those of you with penises, it's just the way it is sometimes. Hell, I've been driving a Jeep Liberty for the past 2 weeks b/c my tire tread came off (came off!!!) while I was driving and tires are hard as **** to find for this car. So I've forgotten about this little problem, until now of course.

I just purchased 4 new Falken Ziex ZE-512's at $101.00 a piece from Discount Tire Direct! http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.jsp I ordered them on a Sunday and got them on the following Weds.

Does anyones have a slight vibration sound when shifting at Higher RPM's? Cold or Hot? Also my steering wheel is not exactly straight (from what I've noticed) It's off a about 10 degrees to the right.

when driving home today it sounds like it's coming from the rear. I don't hear anything over bumps? I have new E's. Any clue???

AAAAARRRRGGG...If they blame it on the SS I'll be pissed, because I know it was happening before that, and it happens to everyone else. Someone said before they were selling their ACT for $350 I think? (I'm too lazy to go back and look). Anyways, should I just buy that and find somewhere to install it? I'm not sure that would fix the whole problem because from what I've read, dealers replace the clutch, flywheel, ball joint, etc. when people bring this to their attention. I have no hopes of a free fix because I don't have any warranty, but I at least want the cheapest full quality fix.

Edit: It was AZspeed's ACT that he's selling for $335. Is that my best bet?

Well, I got some Nitto Neogens yesterday for so I'm back on the road w/my baby again. Damn, it's been too long, I forgot just how comfortable I am in this car. Friggin ripped a couple fingertips open from picking up the tire where the ripped tread was. Ouch! It's like I got caught on a couple of cat's claws. But I changed my tire myself, yay! :D But, I'm back in my P5 again, no more light SUV, gawd I missed my car!

Okay,
I've decided now to take my car in and just tell them to fix all that they can and I'll pay whatever because I'm going to get screwed either way.

My new problem is, do I really have to bring it into a Dealer? There's an automotive place right down the street where I get my oil changed and the guys that work there are the nicest people I've ever met...I'd much rather deal with them. Can I bring it to them or am I handcuffed to the dealership to deal with the chatter problem?

If its a TSB they should fix it. Even out of warrenty. Just be cool and be tough. Say you expect it fixed. If they say no, then you have losed nothing.

Also if you need it, I have my stock, but TSB replaced clutch and you are welcom to it for say....$25 :D

they don't HAVE to service it for free but they should as the TSB is something that would apply for your car regardless of mileage, and you just happened to drive more miles before you brought it in

One of the members is selling his TSB replaced clutch and Flywheel. I'm thinking about buying it and asking the people at the automotive place where I get my oil change to install it. Should I just do that as opposed to dealing with the hassles of a dealership to get rid of this clutch problem?
