my friend tried to get a p5 like 3 months ago, but there's ain't any left.
so she bought a sandalwood(which is not the colour she wants, but she had no choices coz there's no other proteges left, and she wants a protege desperately)protege ES w/ all options..........
i don't know how much did she paid, but shouldn't be high since it's the last car left..........

got my p5 today, 16,975 w/ sunroof, floormats (freebies) cherry red.
sticker was 17,515, invoice (carpoint, edmunds and dealer was 16,300)

My P5 is Blue,5-speed,ABS,moonroof,polished rims, and mats for invoice $17,431, I could have bought it in Atlanta for $17,231 but had a truck that I needed to sell and I went for the sure thing. Has anybody managed to get more than $200 dollars under invoice other than Ford employees?

hey yellow.....in canada ( don't know about states) every colour of the p5 has a "metallic" paint charge..except red. i know yellow isn't metallic. however i do know that mazda has had a hell of a time with the yellow as with other companies. it seems to come out really soft and uneven so maybe that is why they have the extra charge.

I paid 29,600 for my fully loaded yellow P5. I also got the mid-wing and leather interior with yellow stitching.

Murda, what is a "mid-wing"? And ooo I envy your leather interior! :mad: My pro5 is mica blue, with AC, moon/sunroof, floor matts, cargonet, front mask, and is an auto.

I just got mine last week, and just like the rest of you , am very impressed with it.
I live in Montreal and ended up paying $20, 600 taxes included.
Silver, CD, moonroof, no a/c. Pretty good deal huh?
I just can't wait to pay it off, because I hate payments!!!
Quick question guys,... I found a really good deal on springs and an exhaust, I spoke to my dealer and wanted to knoew about voiding the warranty. Are any of u planing on modifying your p5?

whats this info you got about warranty and modifying your car cause as soon as you lower it and put exhaust you pretty much voided it............??

i didn't have to wait at all for my yellow p5 with tape/sunroof/abs/polished rims/floor mats/5 speed including taxes,tages,and other stuff i paid $18500

I know that lowering and modifying the emmission system is voiding the warranty, but my dealer just put a suspension kit on his car, i don't know what kind, but he told to speak to a service agent and i can find loop-holes around it.
As for suspension, my springs are coil-overs and it is a 3" drop. I have'nt purchased my exhaust yet, but a friend told me you can install exhaust (cat-backs) without cutting the piping. Is that true?

protege5 you can get catbacks done that dont cut the pipe............and since our pipes unbolt in 2 diff spots you can just get them to run the pipe for the right size and then weld on the bolt up part and batabing ther you go

Well i sort of went through some BS when i was getting mine. I had originally went to the Mazda dealer because my boy was trading in his ride for something new. We walked into the showroom and the red Pro5 was sittin there whispering my name. I immediatley fell in love and my boy got the yellow MP3. I wanted the yellow 5 but they said i would have to wait 3.5 weeks and i just couldnt do that because my friend was gonna drive his off the lot the next day and of course i had to as well. Had mine back in August! Loaded with a manual trans.

Thanks Justin for the tip on the exhaust. A friend told me the same thing. I really don't want to screw anything up with the warranty but it will look so sweet and will handle amazing with the drop.
As for the Montrealer, I got mine from Mazda 2-20 and he cut me a deal because I two dealers were fighting for my sale. I don't know if they had to make a fiscal year quota or just wanted the car off the lot, I traded in my S#$t Box for a G and got that price.
It still comes out to about the same going price, but he threw in the moonroof.
