Hypertech power estimate

I have an Injen CAI and a RMM on my otherwise stock 09.
I'm debating putting a Hypertech on it but wondered what can I expect to gain?
20hp? 15hp? How much extra torque and where?

I may/might put a test pipe on it eventually. Will that give me more than the typical 10hp gain normally observed with stock tune or not?

Check out the dyno chart. This should give you the info that you are looking for. http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=164177&d=1269633071

Thanks for the replies guys. Dyno chart is great - exactly what I was looking for.
Do you guys think the stock pump likely OK with just the HT and the Injen CAI - no exhaust mods?

Uploaded mine this morning. Had to run updates twice on the unit to get past updates required message. I figured that out using this forum and searching! Imagine that.
Disabled throttle restriction, increase idle RPM by 50, programmed for Injen CAI which I installed yesterday. Drove to work and like the change so far.
Car is much more responsive. Traction in first limits much improvement over stock program at WOT but it does add responsiveness to the car.

I noticed that too. As a matter of fact, I had it idling and warming up a bit before I programmed it and it was rough. Almost like it was missing now and then.
Smooth as butter after the tune was uploaded. Second gear is great around town. Haven't hit the highway with it yet. Wanting a TP now.

The car should have been this way from the factory. Wait until you get the car on the highway, even 6th gear has power!

hey guys im thinking about getting a hypertech tune soon, i was wondering though will the dealership be able to tell that i modded the ecu if i ever have to bring it back for anything under warranty? also, does it work good with a downpipe too? not just a racepipe. Thank you!

U can put it back to stock then flash it again. One member did this right outside the dealership then left and put it back on right outside again

Down pipe works great with Hypertech. Not great for dealer visits under warranty tho.

Just ordered my hypertech tuner. Cant wait for it to come in, im hoping i can beat my friends brand new nismo 370z he just got ;)

^ What are your other mods? You will get much more benefit with HT if you have a good aftermarket intake.

As to the 370, don't make comparisons from a dig. You will get *****. FWD launch is fail against RWD cars. From 40 mph roll, you can probably run even with him. With more mods and HT, especially dp/rp and good intake and you would then need pump internals, but you can make him look really bad if he is stock.

I installed my hypertech today and had some trouble at first with a few things but I think I'm good now. Quick question does it take a little bit for it to break into its full potential? At first it didn't seem as responsive but now I'm actually spinning in second when I wasn't at first.
