I did a search and dug around, didn't find anything stating you could adjust idle with a Hypertech.
Can you adjust idle with the Hypertech flash? Can you adjust anything???
I'm asking because I want to try to adjust my idle to get rid of my chimney (turbo) smoke.
I'm nervous about the AP, but if it is the only way to adjust the idle then I guess I don't have a choice. Don't have any tuners near me and I don't know s*** about it to do it myself. I could adjust the idle though.
The OTS tunes make me worried. My only mod is Mazdaspeed CAI.

So, can the Hypertech adjust idle?? I get the feeling the answer is no but I suppose I should ask those who actually know.

You cannot adjust the idle with the HyperTech programmer. You can adjust the speed limiter, the rev limiter, remove the '0-60' restriction and adjust for SRI or CAI. It also, reads DTC codes and can remove them. The HT tune can be switched back to 'factory tune', when service is required. The tune is runs with premium fuel only, of course.

I have a speed6 and I want exactly what this guy wants but i have an accessport, so how do you do it with an accessport i'm confused?

You have get an AP and download Access Tuner Race software from Cobb. It's free if you register with Cobb. You can adjust all of your ECU settings including your idle. Most people are finding that setting your idle to 900-1000 rpms and the smoke stays away.
I am as far from a mechanic as it gets but I believe the difference in the back pressure does not allow the oil to pool in the turbo then bake, smoke and blow out your exhaust.
I tested my car holding the throttle at 1000 rpms for 15 minutes and no smoke. As soon as I returned to regular idle it smoke in less than 2 minutes. Normally it smokes in 2-3 minutes so it appears to work for me. I need to get the AP to know for sure.

So when i download the access tuner race software do i have to actually find rpm idle and manualy type in 900 on my computer then plug my accessport in I don't understand how the data gets transfered to the AP

you can upload maps into your AP by plugging it in to your computer. You can upload the custom ATR map the same way.
I use do have an AP but sold it. Now I want one again....

Ms6, please do ALOT of reading about ATR first, then adjust your settings. It is a powerful tool...if ONLY doing idle, then you should be ok.

I want to do a lot of reading but where should i look, is there a link anyone can direct me to? and an exact how to: change idle, am i going to be making a new map? or can i add the idle change onto my stage 2+sf 91 map? so confused
