like the shaved handles.....isn't that steve or whoever's car?

?question?

i was just wondering. I know that 17x7 fits perfectly on proteges'. I was wondering if 7.5 or even 8 would fit? thanks.

Yes that's Steve's pink beast. (wiggle)

My wheels are 18X7.5 with a +48 offset. I don't think an 8" wide wheel will fit (I may be wrong)

Are you looking at RX-8 wheels?

7.5 will fit for sure. I don't think 8'' will fit, you'll probably have rub. I used to run 7.5 w/o any problem.

Damn. I'm out of ideas, now. :( The miata won't start. I have no idea why, either. I put the car back together perfectly, but it doesn't seem to be getting any fuel. Chug-chug-chug-chug, but it won't fire up.
Anyone have an idea as to why? I'm pretty sure this isn't the problem, but the car's been up on Rhino Ramps for about a week. Could this have anything to do with my latest headache?

<----worst 2300 bucks I ever spent. This FI quest has been nothing but problems. That Miata ran like a top with no problems ever since DEC 2000, now I've had it for about 6 months and it's dead....again.

Did you double check all the plugs and connectors and what not? Did you ever disconnect anything near your Throttle body?

Maybe the battery just gave up?

Don't give up yet. FI isn't always easy, but what you get it hammered out you'll be loving it.

Thanks for the reassurance Jared. :) It's turning over, but it doesn't seem to be getting gas. The battery's fine...for now.
I've been out quadruple-checking all the bolts and connections, but I still don't see any obvious reasons for this. lol, upon further comon sense, I know that the Rhino ramps have nothing to do with it either. I figure that a miata should be able to park on a hill without messing anything up. :D

Any other suggestions? Anyone? Terry? (gossip)

Thanks guys. I was looking at some Falken 5torqu and some 5Zigen copse. both 18'. Both are 18x7.5 i also seen some Racing harts that are 18x8 so was just thinking. Natey what size tires you have on yours? 225 or 235? Does anyone know which are lighter? thanks everyone.

Maybe ask the dealer. (naughty)

Here's my 2-bits.

You were primarily working on the Timing pulley, and you removed the ignition timing wheel on the pulley. Chances are that you did not properly reinstall that wheel, or you damaged the sensor - or some metal shavings is playing havoc with the sensor - for the wheel during the drilling.

It's nothing to get too worried about, I can swing by tomorrow after work.

I'll give ya a call when I get home.

Thanks. Sorry for bugging you about this. I'm about thisclose to just saying **** it & taking the damn s/c off and bringing the Miata back to stock.

I still have the P5. ;) I'm kinda burnt, though. How 'bout tomorrow?

Now that I sit around a think about it, Terry is most probably correct, but I have a new delimma. How do we tell which way is which? Now that I've turned the motor over, how can we tell which way the timing "plate"(for want of a better word) should go? A timing light?
