Huge Ottawa Meet For All Mazda's Presented By Rx7club May 15/16

Hey Guys,

Here's an invite I received over at a Mazda 3 forum I hangout on and thought I would pass the info on in case anyone was interested.

Hi guys. I'm from the RX7 club and wanted to invite you guys to our annual Mazda meet in Ottawa. See thread for details. This is one of the largest Mazda events with people coming from all over Ontario and Quebec. There will be RX7s, RX8s, Miatas, 3/protege, MX6, MX3.

I will probably go by on the Sat to check out the cars but haven't decided if I'll go on the cruise on Sun, as I doubt that I will be able to keep up (sad1)

Sorry guys, not this time around. With the price of gas at a buck a litre it's gettin' pricy to do all this driving. I've done 5 trips to Ottawa since I got the car in December... I've got some "projects" I want to start as well. Next year. Have fun. I'm jealous.

Thanks for coming out, too bad we didn't get to extend the meet but Paul just had to drift his car in the parking lot (sorry bro I know it sucks). Just to let you guys know, I just read this post that Nightowls Girl (dark blue P5) posted in the RX-7 forum so I thought I would share it with you since I know you guys aren't members over there, and I'll also post my reply.

Okay.. to all the Protege 5 owners that left the car show and didn't go to the BBQ cuz your too lazy to cook your own food.. You SUCK!!! I thought the whole point of the BBQ and DRIVE where to get together and have fun, meet new people and stuff like that......Well I hope that SOMEONE is going to the BBQ and drive cuz I have a car full of someone else's gas and am wanting to go... Oh my god, what are you a two year old????

First of all, it wasn't because we had to cook our food that we didn't go to the bbq, it's because none of us were prepared. Also, since it is a RX-7/8 club some of us felt out of place but we came to the "show & shine" so we could check out the great rides but didn't feel comfortable going to the bbq (nothing against any members, we would like to thank you for inviting us) .
Why didn't you go to the bbq yourself? You said you wanted to meet new people, so what was stopping you? Did you need someone to hold your hand?

In regards to the drive on Sun, if you had read the boards before you came you would have known that some of us had stuff come up or previous plans and wouldn't be able to make the drive although we were looking forward to it but at least for me, family comes first. I know Paul was looking forward to the drive but unfortunitly he had a little accident with his car after you left and won't be able to make it.

Maybe you should grow up.

That was very rude of her . I personally had a great time . I really like the fact that there was a JDM RX7 present . It was great to see evryone that showed . Have to do something like this again .

i didn't even have any food to cook, and most of the RX7 people were pretty standoff-ish. (and some were really nice)

not like i could've gone even if i wanted to.. i was in a wee bit of a bad mood due to the crippling of my car.
