I did my research when I built my engine because I was going to use an RX8 e-shaft in my engine build.. the oil journels are smaller and they have been known to break under boost.. Matter a fact u can talk to the guys at Pineapple Racing they are the ones that enlightend me on that info.. google search first hit http://www.tuxedoparkracing.com/rx-8/EccentricShaft/RX8EccShaft

S SpooledupRacing Banned : 86' RX-7 modded Apr 3, 2009 #28 no I think it has to do with the smaller oil galleys.. I think it starves the shaft and rotors etc and then they break.. remember its a lighter shaft in weight.. which means they took material away.
