Tools Needed:
ratchet
10" extension
14mm and a 17mm(deep) sockets
19mm box wrench
Breaker bar
floor jack
Removal:
1.Place a floor jack under the ENGINE and jack it just enough to support the engine about 1/2 an inch or so.
2.With the ratchet, extension, and breaker bar break loose ALL of the nuts and bolts.
3.Remove the 14mm nut, 14mm bolt and the bracket shown, this will make it easier to pull out the mount.
4.Remove the rest of the nuts and bolts, position the ground wire out of the way somewhere and remove the nut under it also. Raise or lower the jack if Needed.
5.Remove the mount and look at it in disgust as it is more than likely torn. Discard.
You will have one 14mm bolt and nut leftover from the bracket. I just put the nut back on the stud and saved the bracket and bolt.
Installation:
1.Place gray bracket, washers, and 17mm nuts loosely as shown in Pic4.
2.Insert mount with supplied 19mm Bolt, Big washer, small washer, locking washer, and 19mm nut. tighten slightly.
Make sure everything lines up (reposition jack height if need to), see assembly pic5. I reused the 14mm mounting bolts, insert and tighten down.
3.Tighten everything down, I used the breaker bar to re torque the mounting bolts maybe a 1/4 turn.
4.Don't forget to replace the ground wire and nut.
5.Raise jack slightly and check if it created space to tighten more, lower jack slightly and check for space in nuts and bolts and tighten if necassary. remove jack and make sure everything is torqued down.
6.Test drive. Recheck torque on the hardware.
This is an easy and straight forward replacement, should take about 20 min or so with proper tools.
I also did the front which I thought was harder because I had to jack my car and remove the plastic. I can't comment on the vibe from the side mount alone as I replaced both. Idle is definately a little more vibe with both mounts, but I think these will break in after a while and vibe a little less? Smoother feel during shifts and makes the car "feel" faster.
Thanks to jeg for the help.
Hope this was the right spot to post. Thanks to SLS for pic4.
