How-to: S5 intake for less than $45

so basically if you remove the air pump then you loose top end power correct ? but only on the 5/6 port rotaries

All na 13b engines in the FC rx7 were 6 port. If you have a 89-91 rx7 NA you also have VDI. You can fix this though by removing the actuators and setting them open. You lose low end but get the top end.

what about the turbo II do they have the 5/6 port also or is it just the NA. and could you turbo the NA rotary without problems ?

I know what NA means the way he said it kinda seemed like every NA and TURBO had 6 port. But now from my understanding the TURBO rotaries were only 4 port correct ? but they were also 13b's

turbo's are 4 port and NA is 6 port. The 13b is in every rx7 starting with the 85 GSL-SE and including the RX-8 just in different variations.

o and what is VDI ?

VDI was only available on the S5 rx-7 NA's and is responsible mostly for the 15hp extra they have over the s4 rx7's. It stands for variable dynamic intake, its an air pump actuated tumbler that switches between the runners in the upper intake manifold.
