How to replace 2017 FOB with something smaller like a smart card?

I have been able to combine cell phone and wallet with a nice slim cardholder phone case. It is so convenient. To use my building access card I just hold up my phone case to the sensor.

Now I am getting annoyed at having to carry this big old FOB around.

Is there a way to program a card-sized remote to work with my 2017 Mazda 3?
