how to remove the side moldings off your MS3

so reading over this thread i am seeing a lot of mixed results.

what is the definitive best way to remove the side moulding? i have a crystal white pearl MS3 and am very concerned with the residue. i dont care how long the job would take, i want them off and i want there to be no visible trace, at all. suggestions?

Do it on a hot day, park your car's side facing the sun.
Make sure your car is as clean as possible prior.
Use some dental floss to just cut into the first part of the molding. Then slowly peel it off. The slower the better as less residue is left.

If any residue is left use Goo Gone and a MF towel and it will come off without a hitch.

Once one side is done, flip your car over to the other side facing the sun and let it heat it.
Repeat.

Once done do a full wash again and wax if possible.

hrm i live in seattle, wa. we have 2 1/2 months of sun here. alternatives?

Hairdryer... but just be careful.
The heat just helps the glue to soften up and makes less of a mess you have to take off with the goo gone afterwards.
Once you do it... you'll see it's easy.

I've done it about 10 times now from various guys in our club.
