How to mount a tire using starter fluid

That rim is way too narrow for that tire. No, I said it right. I wanna drive on the sidewalls, that's where the traction is.

thats what i had to do to my boys rims on his 240. its a lil scary doing that to a very exspensive wheel but for ppl who want that stratched tire look thats your only option to get them beaded up

"That one was recorded from start to finish for prosperity's sake"

dumb ass - it's POSTERITY not PROSPERITY

That's an old trick, I've seen it done before. Still it's nice to have the video online and available so the next time I try explaining it to someone who just doesn't get it - I can give up and send them the link instead.

my lil bro is a vw head and i just dont understand why they dont get a tire that fits the damn rim.

+1

Maybe that's their way of saving 20 bucks a tire?? (shrug)

I did that this weekend after we popped the bead on a 35 while rock crawling. Old news.

it does give the car a good look. very euro tuner. and that is what all vw kids go for.lol

It gives the car a retarded look, and screws up the proper function of a tire. The treads no longer sit flat.

Rim flat on ground with tire forced over by stomping on it. Then small amount of starter fluid spray inside, then ignited with flame. The gas combusts forcing the tire bead to edge of rim.

we used to do this all the time when i worked at pepboys. Mexicans would come in and get a set of 215s for there big truck with 10 in wide wheels

hahaha I've seen it done for off road applications. Never for 'dumbass' applications. What's the damn point of stretching a tire like that? Anyone? Beuler?
