Well after I installed the headers and RR-racing motor mounts & it became very apparent the stock exhaust hangers were MUCH too week and allowed too much movemnet of the exhaust line. Things started to bang arround and the exhaust tip was wobbling vilently.
I know the best sollution is to get the kartboy exhaust hangers, BUT I dont have the extra cash Or the time to wait for them so I needed a quick fix.
What I came up with works 100% perfect and cost $4.
I went over to Home Depo and grabbed some 2" Dryer clamps & put them arround the stock rubber hangers and tightened them up. At first it was a little too tight, but a few twist of the bolt adjusted it, and it all sits just right!
Tools needed
Flat head Screw Driver or Socet wrench
Parts to Purchace
2" Dryer Clamp / As many as you need $1 each.
Step 1
Put the clamp arround the middle of the rubber hanger, making sure the tightening bolt wont come in contact with anything with the movement of the exhaust line (Mine hit the heat sheild and needed some adjusting)
Step 2
Tighten the bolt dont tighten it too much, you will want to adjust it to where you like it (Where it makes no rattles and doesnt move arround like crazy)
Step 3
Take a ride and adjust it if needed.
Here is what it looks like when done.
Ive had it on for about 2 weeks now issue free. It even looks like it was just put on.
