How to make MP3 faster than a stock MSP

yeah but u dont have an Mp3 either.....lol....you're just a wanna be!!!
but mp3's aren't really any faster than a regular protege actually a dx is faster at least mine is faster than the guy i race around here all the time...oh well
imo the only thing performance wise the mp3 has over a regular protege is the suspension basically from what i can tell with a intake/exhaust the protege and mp3 is the same thing except the protege has less crap in it

yeah but the mp3 also has a different ecu. now in 2002 the dx did see a huge gain in hp as the dx went from the 1.6L to the 2.0L. its only 10 hp less than the mp3 (its basically a p5) but before 2002 dx's were much slower. according to mazda (not whp of course)
2001mp3= 2.0L 140 hp 140tq @ 6000 RPM
2001 dx = 103hp @ 5500 RPM 106tq @ 4000 RPM
2002 dx = 130hp @ 6000 RPM 135tq @ 4000 RPM

^ very good point i had forgotten that they had 1.6's in the earlier dx's
i have a 2002 with the 2.0 i forgot i 2001 when the mp3 cam out the dx at that point did only have a 1.6

I need the damn AC as it's so hot in summer. In winter, we can't race, so turbo serve for nothing..

When I bought the car the Kenwood Amp and 10 inch Sub werent in my trunk but the wiring was all there, so I'm thinkin the previous owner took it out. I'm a little upset.

stock sub is 8" right?

trust me, you aren't missing anything, those subs are all but worthless

by the time you can hear them they're already distorting

Haha alright, then i guess i'm not missing anything. Thanks then. Atleast I have the wiring all done for a good amp and Sub.

nah you'll want to redo the wiring if you're doing anything over 150-200 watts
