so i have had an AWR front engine mount sitting in my room for about 3 months. i want to attempt to install it myself. how hard would that be(scratch)? and if any1 has done it can they send me sum sort of step by step instructions, that would be greatly appreciated , thanks.

its as simple as taking out the old one and putting in the new one...

14mm socket IIRC
jack w/block wood to support the motor(not really neccessary if all your other mounts are good... it shouldn't move much... but if it does then you can use the jack to push it back up)

you can do it... and you'll feel better... it is pretty simple... just 3 bolts...
2 hold the mount to the frame and the other one mounts to the motor

just use a jack w/wood block to support the motor then undo the bolts take out the old and in with the new

which is the easiest way to reach the bolts and stuff , top of the car? or under it?

It's easier to do without jacking up the car though. Just support the engine from underneath, but don't jack it up.. I found it much easier to realign the holes this way.

ughhhhhhh i am trying to change it right now, but i cant seem to get the the bolts that mount to the MM loose. well technically im trying to loosen the nuts, but i cant seem to get it done and i do not have any power tools. do i need some in order to do this? also any ideas for making loosening nuts easier. ive literally been at it for about 30 mins and no luck. i already took off the one that mounts to the motor. also the more i work at it , the nuts seem to be like wearing off, which will eventually make them nearly impossible to remove

A bar that will fit over the ratchet that will give you extended leverage while trying to break the nut loose.. It makes things 1000x's easier..

yea ur right, i googled it and found out that you can use your jack bar as a breaker bar. it worked liek a charm, thanks

Yea man, leverage is your best friend. If you could get enough leverage, you could move anything you wanted.

i had to use a small one that was the size or a normal size rachet....it was a PITA......and worse of all it was a 3/8's one...had ALOT of dirt build up, with no pb blaster...but i did it :D
turns out that tightening it before loosening the bolt really does work

i just did my first one two days ago, and tightening all the bolts first deff. helped prevent me from busting my knuckles. also the AWR 95 isn't really that bad on vibrations IMO (this is also coming from someone who DD a 300hp SOLID MM mustang SVO before my MSP).

the rear mount looks to be a PITA, i think i might be able to do it by just taking the cold charge pipe off from the throttle body. if not, ill wait a little while to do it then...

What makes the rear MM so much of a Royal PITA is that stupid wiring harness bracket on the firewall that you have to remove.

Yea, the rear motor mount adds MOST of the vibration to the car..

everything is hard about the rear mount. i have an incredibly extensive tool collection and it still took me and my dad about 3 hours to do 1 mount. the main piece of advice that i can give you is this; after you get the new mount halfway mounted on the rear and you are trying to thread the bolt that goes through both sides of the mount, slowly loosen the front mount until you can tilt the engine into the right position. it took me a good half hour of wrestling the engine around until i thought of that.

I have a basic crafsmen tool set and it only took me 3 hours by myself. The trick to get to that bottom nut on that stupid bracket is to use a 1/4inch socket set so it fits inbetween the mount bracket and the wiring harness bracket.
