Hi everyone , I wanna install a 3rd party rear parking sensors , which costs about $30 to buy the kit.
Now I faced 2 problem:
1.Which part should I drill the hole and put the sensor.
2.Where should I find the wire of revers parking light to get the power.

Did anyone try it before? it should be easy.

I installed a reverse parking sensor in my CX-5 a few weeks ago. I think I can help you.

The system I installed was a Steelmate PTS400EX. Cost was about $100 for the kit.

I have the following picture to show where I drilled the holes for the sensors. I have better pictures in my laptop at home if you need them.

The hardest part was finding a way to feed the sensor wires into the cabin, and also finding which wire is the reverse light for the power.

I can share the photos with this info, but will have to wait till I get home.

I had a couple pics in my phone and whipped this up for you. If you solder like I did, don't forget to put some electrical tape over the exposed conductors (I didn't show this in my pics).

Before you drill, make sure you have enough open space in the drill location behind the bumper to clear the back end of the sensor.

Good luck, brother.

@NinjaNoises, this is a very good option at 1/4 the cost of the Mazda accesorei and it looks almost identical. I am going to do this in the future but I want to install the rear like the UK version and get another kit for the front like the UK model has but we do not have that option at all. Thank you for posting!
