Hey guys, anyone successfully install the indiglo gauges without breaking the needles? s****... I took mine to a shop and they broke my ******* fuel gauge needle and so they were scared to try the rest... ANyways really pissed now because the replacement gauges are really expensive... might have to buy a whole new cluster... Linuxninja, how did you install yours?...

:( I have problems as well. My Temp and Gas Gauge does not work! I may be able to fix it, but I suspect that the neeles are jacked. I monitor my gas usage by the tripometer. They look cool though! Do them at your own risk. Does anyone know of any that have holes big enough to not have to pull off the neeles? How about APC?

Nope, the APC guages require the removal of the needles, too. The instructions say they just slide over, but that's not the case. You do have to take the needles off.
My fuel and temp guages no longer work, and i need to reset the needles for the speedometer and the tach. i agree they do look great, but the possible damage from installing them makes their worth questionable. anybody know how much a new guage cluster is? :(

the cluster is most likely gonna be a good 200 US or so....mine was replaced but the dealership took care of me....so i dont know the exact price

I bought some indiglo gauges but have yet to put them on. Kinda gettin scared because of everyone breaking their needles. How exactly are you guys breaking the needles? And when you put them back on, what causes them not to work again? I'm just clueless.. that's all. :)

i don't know how everyone else broke theirs, but i snapped the pins that holds the needles in place. the ones on the fuel and temp. guages were tough to get out. i guess that's why they broke.
:(

I installed mine without any problems. All my guages work fine now. All you do is bend the indiglo face a lil so the needle can squeeze through and rotate it til it snaps into place :).

Duckie: if a shop busted your needles, then they are liable to pay for it. I would raise hell with that shop if they ****** up my needles

Hey Duckie, did you try reading the directions twice. :D Just playin with ya. Does anyone like the factory guages. I think they do fine. And do not remove the needles, you might really mess the calibration of the gauge cluster up.

lucky me...had my needle replaced at my dealer under warranty...haha...my salesman and the service manager are really cool...i just told them the s*** just fell out one day...hahhaha...still can't get over it... but i still want the indiglos installed... DAMN!!! Yellowmp3..how did u bend it over the needles...those holes are too small ??? and which indiglo guage set do you have EL or APC? Damn this s*** is risky...
APEXi... what directions?
