I bought a double sided car molding tape that's black, i had the white but it bothered me...

lol u can buy this stuff on eBay as a 'universal lip'

It will stay on with just double-sided tape, but the first time you run across any accumulation of snow it will be gone. That being said, its so cheap that I'm not sure I will screw it on even with that knowledge.

Yeah, I am sure mine will take a beating this winter in CHicago, but you clean it up in the spring and do it all over again. Only takes about 15 min.

I figure for $15 I am not going to care what happens to it. Mine is already looking pretty ragged. It is still on but has been scrapped up pretty bad. If it starts coming off I will just help it come all the way off and clean up the edge until Spring.

it shouldnt. its just 3m tape'd on there.. doesnt effect anything.. if they do think of voiding it because of the lip, u gotta find a different dealership to do business with.

and if yuo crack the other lip or scratch it bad, lot of money to replace compared to HD lip

so the 3m tape only held for a few days, but 4 screws should fix that before it actually falls off
