Well install was a breeze...Snapped a few pics for those intrested... Mirror wiring was plug n play so if your thinking bout it go for it....

Quick write up for install///

Tools are:

2 hooked pick
3 8mm socket/rachet
4 door panel clip removal tooks

Drivers door panel removal

1) Pull tweeter trim panel outwards until its loose. you can leave hanging no need to disconnect from wiring.

7) Pull cover over puddle light straight out and lay aside
8) Unscrew exposed screw and put aside with outers
Note those are the only screws holding the drivers door panel in place.
9) Now comes the fun part as seen on the diagram below there are 9 clips holding the panel to the door.

carefully pull back on the door panel and release those clips.
10) After they are all released pull door panel straight up
you can now lower door panel down no need to unplug all the connectors as you will only be accessing the screws/plug that were hidden behind the door panel to remove the mirror assy.

13) Get heated mirror assy and reverse instructions to install heated mirror.

Pass side is same except there are 2 screws under door handle trim instead of one as in drivers side......

install was a breeze and taking my time only took 45 minutes.... Now for a icy day to test them out........

Great write-up, and it seems pretty easy now that you have the diagrams of the door clips and screws.

I turned on my rear defoster just to check today, and put my hand on the mirror - sure enough, it warmed right up.

Has anyone installed the side viewmirrors with the led turn signal and puddle lights? What wiring needs to be done to make the signals work correctly?

thanks MS6...

i hadnt thought to put my hand to the mirror to check if it warmed up.. Did so last nite and sure enough it was warm....

Do you have the part #'s for those of us that might be interested in doing this? I live in MI and I'm seriously considering this mod.

GP9B69120B87
GP9B69180C87

Keep in mind those are color coded for Velocity Red. Your part #s may be different...

Got to test them out in some icy conditions this past weekend and have to say they are definately worth the cost....

i renamed this thread so that it fits in the how-to section

heated mirrors?

Well I turned on my rear defrost and it melted the snow off my back windshield but nothing on my mirrors which I still had to scrape, I think I'll be paying my dealer a visit to find out why this is as I have a GT but no heated mirrors.

my drivers side mirror actually says "heated" on it.

My mirrors do not say heated on them. Only visable difference is the part# stamped on them and the extra 2 wires in the harness plug...

I'm trying to get the part numbers for the Liquid Platinum mirrors. I think this is gonna be my next mod since I'm constantly waking up to fogged up mirrors in the morning.

I got my heated mirrors used off eBay. Even got the right color! Less than $100 for both shipped. Super easy install, door panel pops right off. Took me no more than 30 minutes for both sides. Didn't even break anything! That's a first.

Just a quick update on these, if you have a Liquid Platinum colored MS6, paint code 30S, the part numbers are:

GP9B-69-120B-06 MIRROR (RT)
GP9B-69-180C-06 MIRROR (LT)

I'm a bit confused as to what you are ordering... Is it the mirrors itself or the assembly that fits inside the mirror?

Wow cant believe its been over a yr with this mod... Still love the heated mirrors especially now with sub freezing weather here again.....
