How To: Ebay FMIC

I think if I can get the cold pipe a little lower the bumper will fit. Yeah I'm going to try and mae a pipe work after I finish the hot side. that one happen to fitokay, but I want to have to use it.

How'd you do your hot side Hornsfan? did You remove washer resevoir or cut a hole next to radiator? and did you use a slim fan?

Alright, so I got everything installed and I went to start the car and drive it. Still have some turkey with the BOV but my question/problem is when I go to higher rpm, at least the 1 time I tried too, the car completely stalled. Got scared when that happened so drove back home. I noticed when I rev car up My intake seems to have a loud flutter in it, not sure if thats exactly where its coming from, but thats where it sounds like it is. Any advice on the stalling and idle dropping really low? I relocated MAF after the BOV as well.

also run your bov off the brake booster vacuum line. feel the line until you find a lump, thats a one way check valve. make sure you put the vacuum T on the passenger side of that valve.

I cut a hole next to the radiator, it was the cleanest and shortest routing. I have one 10" slim fan and I plan on getting a full size aluminum radiator with 2 12" fans this summer since the single fan can't keep up with the AC on.

Can you give me an idea of the where abouts of the brake booster line? Right now I have it the way it was set up, which is one from waste gate, another from intake manifold, and then using vacuum T to connect BOV

its the big line coming off the big round black thing (brake booster) on the drivers side of the firewall

My MAF sensor was backwards so I flipped it around and the car hasn't stalled all crazy like. But it just seems like it is laggy, hard to explain. lol. I can't here my BOV, just hearin straight turkey too. More importantly though, my car's idle is very jumpy, if I'm at a stop it drops to like 200 or so. when My turbo timer was on I notcied it was also dropping to 200 or so......

Is that related to EGR valve needing to be cleaned? thanks

you need to adjust the bov. that could cause stalling as well
so what about the BOV should I adjust? Should I try loosening the spring on the top? I

One thing i just noticed driving home was that when I'm driving the car and let of gas the vacuum pressure is like 25- 29 ish which is normal, but when I come to a stop at a light, the vacuum side drops to 20-22 ish and my cars idle drops and varies, once I start to drive again it's fine.

Alright guys, thanks for the advice on moving vacuum line to brake booster. Car no longer feels like it is lagging. Last thing to fix HOPEFULLy, is this erratic idling . Any advice on that? As mentioned once I come to a stop or the rpms are allowed to drop, the idle drops to like 200 ish and then shoots back up, as well as the vacuum level on boost gauge drops to almost 20. I'm thinking that's a result of the idle dropping?

is your MAF relocated to the cold pipe? if you're blowing off metered air that would explain it.

The engine will start to loose vacuum if the RPMs drop well before normal.

to be running good since I ran a vacuum line from brake booster. Just have to figure this idle thing out

So got the idle fixed . Cleaned egr valve and the idle valve right above throttle body.
What's your guys vacuum at when your idling? Mine use to be 25 to 26 with stock setup. Now its 22 . Could it still be because of my bov ? When I loosen the top of it I can hear air escaping so I have it tightened.

what has everyone been doing about clearing the hard ps line that runs where all the high pressure a/c lines are (for those with the immediate 90 off the intercooler on the hot side)
