How to dyno your Mazda 2 w/o the ABS/DSC freaking out

Ran into this problem the other day. The simplest way to get it to work is to pull the 30-amp DSC fuse under the hood. That disables the ABS function and all levels of DSC, so the electronics do not apply the brakes or disable full throttle when the rear wheels aren't spinning.

Great info. Would that also be preferable in autocross or is just turning off the traction control better?

Thanks,
John

could always hook a dash switch to the power feed for the DSC fuse. that way you get a proper DSC/ABS kill switch :D

Question...

With the fuse pulled is the brake force distribution still activated?

Don't think so.

I've spent a couple hours going through the Service Highlights manual which describes how the system works in detail, and it apears that removal of either DSC control fuse will remove all of the functions of the DSC unit, including ABS, brake force distribution, traction control and stability control. It also gets rid of the emergency brake boost assist, which is what has been screwing me up in autocrosses. There are two fuses: the 30amp one control the DSC motor and the 20amp one is the solenoids.
