How to Disable motion sensing on mazda 3 navigation

ill have to check this out. nav system is also hooked up to sterring angle and distanc travled so whn you have no signal it can still tell where you are

I don't think it's hooked to the steering angle, but it does have an onboard electronic gyro to measure turns (at least for awhile). It is likely connected to the speed sensor of the car to pick up distance traveled. Though it sure would be nice if that connection would allow it to calibrate the speedometer on the dash, and that is certainly not happening.
