I am about to install a pioneer avic f90bt and tried searching for a way to bypass the stock Bose amp. If someone could help me out or point me in the right direction that would be great.

Also I am guessing u have to bypass the amp for a aftermarket deck install correct?

Crutchfield

I just installed a Kenwood DDX514 in my car last Friday. I got a wiring harness adapter with it for free from Crutchfield. This adapter can be purchased from them for about twenty bucks. Works great. You just wire the adapter to the harness of the stereo and then plug in to plug where factory stereo was.

Be sure and tell them it is a Bose equipped car as there are two different adapters.

I know I'm late but here's how I just did it

First I took the Bose headunit out using the din keys. Easy enough. Then i disconnected all the plugs from the back. After doing this, I couldn't find the correct wire diagram anywhere for what I was seeing. Off to Google I went and found out about the Bose amp underneath the front passenger seat. I didn't want to have to buy some adapter and then figure out how to connect that. So I decided that I'm going to install new speakers and rewire myself. But running wires from the door to the head unit was not working out for me. So I unbolted the 4 bolts (2 in back, 2 in front) that hold the passenger seat down so I could have easier access to the Bose amp. After taking the door panels off to put in the new speakers I knew what color wires were used for each speaker. So I found those same color wires going into the Bose amp. I cut them and spliced with speaker wire I had bought for around $20 at Best Buy. After splicing it, I ran the new wire from the amp to the back of the head unit. Works great!!
