How to adjust Greddy type RS BOV

Hi i just bought a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 this week, so far im loving it. I hope it turns out to be a great car with no problems. Anyways onto what the title says. I bought a Greddy type RS BOV but im unsure how to adjust the bov, any input would be much appreciated. I have read that after you install the bov you idle the car and adjust it till the valve is closed all the way. Is this right? If so how will i know if the valve is closed when im running recirc'd?
